Cory Fisher, a visual artist based in Los Angeles, explores the synthesis of geometric shape and subtle illusionistic space using acrylic and spray paint on canvas stretched on board.

 

Drawing inspiration from digital art, hard-edge geometric abstraction, Fisher explores and interrogates the inconsistency of balance, unity of opposites, the ephemerality of meaning, nostalgia, and the essence of space via arresting visual combinations and unique use of composition and layering.

 

Fisher de-contextualizes meaning and memory into an alien archetypal bouquet, where paintings become portals into spaces permeated by desire, order, and solitude.
